Spirit AeroSystems host Career fair for East Central High School students.
At Tulsa Public Schools, we are proud to create partnerships that help our students get hands-on learning and working experiences and prepare them for life after high school.
One of those partnerships is between East Central High School and Spirit AeroSystems. On November 16th, representatives from the company hosted an interactive career fair at the school.
Around 200 students had the opportunity to speak with Spirit employees and be pre-screened for a paid summer internship. This internship is a six-week paid manufacturing program for East Central students ages 18-19. Spirit employees said the first round of internships were a success and they are excited for the coming year.
The career fair included individuals from multiple departments who spoke with East Central's juniors and seniors about what they do and the possibilities for the future.
