Seven Tulsa Public Schools students will receive full-tuition scholarships from the University of Tulsa!
University of Tulsa President Brad Carson and Tulsa Public Schools Superintendent Ebony Johnson surprised the seniors with the news at a celebration in April. Members of the TU band, the spirit squad, and Goldie, the canine ambassador, were all part the big reveal. The students' families, school counselors, and principals were also present to celebrate the great achievement.
The seven students are:
- Esmerelda Belmontes Garcia from East Central High School
- Christian Crockett from McLain High School
- James George from Booker T. Washington High School
- Pedro Guzman-Garcia from Memorial High School
- Aiden Hood from Edison Preparatory High School
- Aiden Manuel Martinez from Central High School
- Jesus Moreno from Will Rogers College High School
