We are excited to invite you to our Special Education Transition Fair, designed to support students and families as they prepare for important transitions in their educational journey. Whether your child is transitioning between grades, moving from school to work, or planning for life after high school, this fair will provide valuable information and resources.
Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, October 24
- Time: 6-8pm
- Location: 2710 E. 11th St.
At the fair, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Complete DRS and DDS applications on-site
- Meet with representatives from colleges, habilitation agencies, and vocational programs
- Learn about post-secondary education options, employment opportunities, and community resources
- Hear from keynote speakers about Developmental Disability Services, Department of Rehabilitation Services, Supplemental Security Income, and Guardianship
- Meet with our Special Education teams regarding services for your student
- Explore resources for independent living, social services, and more
This event is open to students of all grades receiving special education services and their families, as transitions occur at different stages in a student’s academic journey. We encourage families to attend and explore options for the future.
